Back injury is common for workers. Back injuries often occur as a result of pressure to the spine due to day to day activity. These include incorrect lifting methods and posture, but the precursor for these movements develop much earlier in life. These incorrect movement patterns cause the development of muscle imbalances.

Urbanized lifestyles lead to weak abdominals and hamstrings, which causes the more used muscles to pull away from the body's natural form. This causes misplaced pressure in the spine, and ultimately the hemorrhage of disks within the spinal column.

Treatments include anti-inflammatory or pain-relieving drugs, as well as alternative medicines.

Many back problems can be avoided by keeping in good physical shape through exercise and resistance training. This does not mean that you need to spend hours in the gym. It is suggested that a person should perform exercises 2 or 3 times a week that strengthen and tone the back, abdominal, and legs to help ward off possible future injures.
